The Chair’s Report

The Chair’s Report, as every year, was mainly a summary of the events that HELTA organised in this last year and was held by HELTA Chair Sarah Plochl. You can view the presentation here.

 

The Treasurer’s Report & Membership Report

As every year, our treasurer Wilton Mills presented the HELTA figures. These, too, can be requested and ‘eingesehen’ by any curious members. Contact to make an appointment.

Membership Secretary Andrew Moore reported membership numbers.

Committee

We thanked the committee members who stepped down: Jim Maloney and Soph Moeng, who served on the committee in the past year, as well as our long-standing Chair extraordinaire, Andreas Grundtvig, who has now retired from the HELTA committee.

The following committee was newly elected:

We are especially delighted that Wendy has agreed, after many years of successful bullying, to join the committee. Welcome, Wendy!

 

HELTA’s 40th Anniversary

2021 marks our association’s 40th birthday. As Germany’s very first ELTA, HELTA played a crucial role in the foundation of our sister organizations as well. To help plan this joyous occasion, founding members Patrick Wolfe and Tim Sebbage joined the AGM and told us some stories about the beginnings of HELTA.

We are now in the early stages of planning our anniversary celebration. If you would like to join the planning team, please write to events coordinator Vincent Wongaiham-Petersen at .

 

Members Only Area

As requested in the Membership Survey, we are now working on building a members-only area for our website. Vincent is currently in touch with our webmaster and we should be able to launch it soon! If you have any special wishes for the features you would like this area to have, please email us at .

 

In closing, we are very happy to say that the AGM worked very well as an online event and were happy to see a good turnout. But we are all very much hoping that we will able to meet in person again next year.
