What is HELTA?
The Hamburg English Language Teaching Association (HELTA) brings together teachers of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in north Germany. We are an officially registered, non-profit making organization (e.V.). Our members, both native and non-native speakers of English, come from all teaching sectors. Our goal is to provide a forum for sharing experience and developing professional expertise.
For further information about joining the association, email HELTA’s membership secretary:
Andrew Moore –
PLEASE NOTE:
HELTA is only able to respond to enquiries directly relating to our events or to becoming a member of the association. HELTA is not a school or an employment agency for teachers of English; we can not be of assistance to individuals/organisations seeking English teachers, recommendations for courses or schools, or teaching positions in Hamburg.
HELTA e.V. is a charity association (eingetragener Verein). You can read our statutes (Satzung) here.
